Berber carpet

Berber Carpet

Berber carpet is a style of loop pile carpet where the fibers are woven into the backing material. Its loop pile construction gives Berber carpet exceptional durability, making it a hugely popular carpeting option for high traffic areas in your home. It has superior traction, making Berber carpet a sound choice for homes with children or elderly people. Berber carpeting is also frequently found in schools and office buildings.

Frieze Carpet

Frieze carpet is noticeable because it has tall, tight, twisting fibers that curl over at the top. It’s a cut pile style of carpeting, meaning it’s created by threading and looping the carpet fibers through the carpet backing and then cutting the loops so they’re all the same height.   Frieze’s unique composition makes it very durable and able to hid stains and imperfections. Like Berber, frieze carpet is suitable for high traffic areas.

Plush Carpet

Plush carpet is also a cut pile style of carpet, but it is very different from frieze carpeting. Plush carpet has a much denser fiber strand arrangement which gives it that traditional carpet look. Another benefit to plush carpet is that it can be very comfortable (especially on bare feet). One drawback is that it’s typically more difficult to clean and doesn’t hide stains as effectively as Berber and frieze carpeting.
